PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Triplicated processing for coordinated plant control and monitoring
ICS Triplex T8110B is the main processing component of a Trusted controller. Its three fault containment regions execute the configured program, process analogue and digital input data and coordinate output updates through the triplicated inter-module communications bus.
Hardware voting and scheduled diagnostics support fault detection and controlled active or standby operation. The front panel provides status indicators, a diagnostic connection and maintenance access controls. Select the correct adapter, firmware and companion processor before configuring or replacing the module.

Is this a main processor or an expander module?
It is the main processing component in the controller chassis. It executes the configured program and coordinates I/O data. An expander processor has a different location and communication role and is not an equivalent replacement. -
Can the processor be removed while indicating ACTIVE?
No. The manufacturer warns that removing an ACTIVE processor can cause shutdown. Follow the complete changeover procedure and verify the original has entered Standby before removal; forced I/O can inhibit that transfer. -
Which adapters enable serial and IRIG-B connections?
RM251 specifies T8120 for serial communications and T8121 for serial plus IRIG-B facilities. These facilities are available on T8110B, not the original T8110. Verify the selected adapter and controlled connector drawing. -
Does a reset prove that the processor fault is repaired?
