ICS Triplex T8311 is a Trusted TMR expander interface that connects the controller inter-module bus to the expander bus. Its architecture separates three main fault containment regions and a monitoring region, with isolated paths supporting communication between the controller and expansion hardware.

How does T8311 differ from an expander processor?
T8311 provides the interface on the controller side of the expansion connection. The expander chassis uses separate processor hardware. Similar expansion terminology does not make these different module types interchangeable. -
