      The PROXPAC® Proximity Transducer Assembly is similar in external appearanceand mounting detail to our 31000/32000 Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies. Itoffers the same advantages and features as these conventional housings forexternal adjustment of, and access to, proximity probes. However, the PROXPAC®Assembly also contains its own Proximitor® Sensor inside the housing’s cover.This design makes the PROXPAC® Assembly a completely self-containedproximity probe system, and eliminates the need for an extension cable betweenthe probe and its associated Proximitor® Sensor. It also eliminates the need for aseparate Proximitor® housing. For short cable runs, field wiring is connecteddirectly between the monitors and PROXPAC® Assemblies. For longer cable runs,a junction box is often mounted at or near the machine skid to house terminal strips.The field wiring is connected to terminal strips in the junction box, providing accessto Proximitor® signals at a convenient location near the machine.

      The PROXPAC® is designed to sealdifferential pressure between theprobe tip and the housing main bodywhen used with a 3300 XL 8 mmprobe. The sealing material internalto the probe case consists of aViton® O-ring; the O-ring betweenthe sleeve and the housing is aNeoprene® O-ring. The plastichousing is certified to seal againsthose-directed water according toType 4X and IP66 standards but isnot designed to resist internal orexternal pressure. Probes are notpressure tested prior to shipment.Contact our custom designdepartment if you require a test of thepressure seal for your application
      Radial Vibration Monitoring: Measures the dynamic motion of the shaft perpendicular to its centerline. This is critical for detecting mechanical issues like imbalance, misalignment, or mechanical looseness.

      Axial (Thrust) Position Monitoring: Tracks the shaft's movement along its axis. This function is vital for protecting thrust bearings from catastrophic failure.

      Phase Reference (Keyphasor): Provides a once-per-turn pulse used to determine shaft speed and the phase of vibration signals, which is essential for diagnostic "mode shape" analysis.
      330880 vs. 330800: The 330880 series is the current standard for the PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer. The 330800 is an older model number often found in legacy installations, and the two are generally functionally identical when configured with the same options.
       
      Approval-Specific Changes: If your application does not require hazardous area approvals, the -16 (No approvals) option is the direct functional equivalent to the -28 (Multiple approvals) used in your part number.
