PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Dedicated turbine speed sensing and overspeed protection
ICS Triplex T8442C is a conformal-coated Trusted TMR speed monitor for rotating machinery. Three independent machine groups each combine triplicated speed inputs with two redundant output drives, supporting overspeed and acceleration protection alongside a separate speed-control function.
Speed probes and trip equipment connect through the specified input and output termination assemblies rather than directly to the module. Each machine group requires the correct sensor arrangement, termination and protection configuration; replacement uses a Companion Slot, not a SmartSlot position.

The speed monitor links three machine groups to the Trusted IMB. Field sensors and output circuits require the dedicated termination assemblies; module-interface ratings are not bare field-sensor connection ratings.
Use the specified T8846 input FTA and T8891 output FTA with the TC-801 assembly. Do not connect field devices directly to the module. Verify the 20-32 V DC backplane supply and specified 18-32 V DC field supply. Check the separate termination-assembly ratings.
