These modules mate with the T9831/2/3 Analogue Input terminationassemblies. When analogue modules are installed in a dual or TMRconfiguration they supply fault tolerant input functionality, enabling you toreplace input modules without interrupting the channel input data flow to theprocessor modules.
A T9831 termination assembly is for a simplex configuration and hasterminations for 16 non-isolated digital inputs. The T9832 and T9833termination assemblies support 16 isolated digital inputs for dual and triplemodular redundant arrangements of digital input modules.

Overcurrent Protection: Each of the 16 analog input channels is individually protected by a 50 mA fuse. These fuses prevent excessive current from damaging the termination assembly or the connected I/O module.
Galvanic Isolation: The unit utilizes optocouplers to provide electrical isolation between the field-side signals and the controller's internal logic, rated for an impulse withstand of up to 2500 V.
Transient & Noise Suppression: Integrated filtering mechanisms protect input channels against high-frequency noise and transient overvoltages (spikes) common in industrial settings.
